15" multiscan monitor

I got a

5FT SVGA VGA Monitor M/M Male To Male Extension Cable 5

with a

Mac to VGA display adapter MxF - Apple Macintosh

So, everything was up and running. I was changing each HD(I have about 6 of them) with the computer so see what was on each of them with the Apple Multiscan 15" Monitor.

I have two 6100/66 Power PC and one LC 475(I used one of them with the Mulitiscan Monitor with was the 6100/66 Power PC)

Now all of a sudden, when i decided which computer I was going to use,I booted up the computer and the monitor didn't, it just stayed black . It just stopped displaying. Now all that's lit is a yellow light above the power button. Its starts off as green for a few seconds, then changes to yellow

I keep trying different HDD's , checking the cables, going back to the other two computers, thinking some has blown or something. Nothing! I checked online and asked the question and on one site, one person kinda had the same problem(I believe theirs was a PC monitor) and it said that it must be my video card??

Not sure if that so on my Mac.

Can someone help explain this to me. Do I need another monitor? I don't want to buy another cheap monitor just to connect and still find it didn't have anything to do with the monitor

Thanks

Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier

Both these models will display a black screen if the internal backup, or "PRAM," battery is dead. Please see:

The battery in both is a 1/2 AA 3.6V lithium:

Thanks for your response Allan. I have the battery. It still doesn't work. I just can't figure out what it is cause it was working all fine at one point then then when decided which one i was going to use out of the three and put the rest away....it just stopped. Neither of them.

I just noticed also when power up the computer, the lights on the keyboards don't light up(something just not connecting). I tried it on all three, interchanged the battery on all three, cables with all three(eventhought the LC475 is a different one).

I have two brand new 5FT SVGA VGA Monitor M/M Male To Male Extension Cable 5, couldn't be them.

I couldn't that all three are dead. Anymore suggestions?
